Hummingbirds Lithograph Framed with Handwritten Dedication Vintage ANNE WORSHAM RICHARDSON

Anne Worsham Richardson (1919-2012) was known as the “Charleston Bird Lady." She painted South Carolina's official portraits of the State Bird and the State Flower and was inducted into the South Carolina Hall of Fame in 1991. Mrs. Richardson established a bird sanctuary to rehabilitate injured birds and also opened the Birds I View Gallery in 1972 in Charleston, where she displayed and sold her paintings and prints (it closed in 2016).

This highly collectible lithograph of one of Richardson's original watercolors was sold at her Charleston gallery, where she hand-signed a personal dedication to the purchasers: "To Dick and Vonnie, Best Wishes, Anne Worsham Richardson 1992" This is written on the paper label on the back that has her biography and portrait. The image is printed on white paper with a narrow avocado green stripe.

At the lower left, the birds are identified with the printed words "Ruby-Throated Hummingbird with Fuchia". The artist's name is printed just below the birds, with her signature in script below. At the bottom right is printed: COPYRIGHT © 1991 by ANNE WORSHAM RICHARDSON.

The framed size is 12 1/4 inches tall by 10 1/4 inches wide by 3/4 of an inch deep. The oak frame is
1 1/4 inches wide with a bonus: non-glare glass was used which really enhances the print. This beautiful artwork weighs 1 pound, 9 ounces. The glass, frame and print are all in excellent condition, ready to admire in your home.
