These fireplace bellows are one of the prettiest pair we've had for sale. Handmade of two thick pieces of pine, the bellows are hand painted in a soft sage green with freehand painting of flowers on the front. The two handles at the top are also painted green; the front one is pierced with a hole that has a newer leather thong.

The sides of the bellows are covered in leather, attached with round brass tacks and very small nails. A large strip of the same leather, folded over on the back, holds the bellows snugly together. The nozzle is hand cut tin, befitting a country piece like this one, rather than the brass ones used on fancier bellows.

The painting has just enough wear to give it a wonderful vintage look without a worn-out look. The leather is in very good condition, no holes or tears and the bellows work perfectly!

This large folk art piece measures 21 inches long, 9 1/2 inches across the widest spot and 2 inches thick at the center/ 3 inches thick at the handles. It weighs a hefty 3 pounds 6 ounces and looks terrific on your hearth or hung on your wall.
